Privacy Policy

To provide account sync across devices, YouTube Focus Coach requires you to create an account using an email address and password. Authentication is handled securely by Firebase Authentication (a Google service). We do not see or store your raw password — Firebase manages authentication and stores only a securely hashed credential.

We also store your focus goals and preferences, linked to your account, so your settings sync across devices when you sign in.

The only PII we collect is your email address, used solely to authenticate your account and enable settings sync. We do not collect your name, phone number, postal address, or payment details.

On the Chrome Web Store data disclosure, this is declared as personally identifiable information (email address) collected for account functionality.

Video titles and metadata from YouTube are analyzed locally on your device using an on-device AI model to determine alignment with your focus goals. This content is not sent to our servers or to any third party for analysis.

Only your focus goals and settings — not the pages or videos you view — are saved to your account for sync purposes.

Your email address and focus goals are stored using Firebase (a Google Cloud service) to enable account creation and cross-device sync. Firebase processes this data on our behalf under Google's security and privacy commitments.

We do not sell, rent or share your data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling. There are no advertising networks, data brokers or third-party analytics SDKs in this extension.

• Web browsing history — we do not collect or upload your browsing history
• YouTube watch history — we do not record which videos you watch or for how long
• Page content — video titles and metadata are analyzed on-device only and never uploaded
• Location data — no GPS or IP-based location tracking
• Health information — none of any kind
• Payment information — the extension is free and processes no payments
• Keystrokes or behavioral tracking — no keylogging, mouse tracking or ad fingerprinting

Your account data is retained for as long as your account exists. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time:

• In-extension: open the extension popup and choose Settings → Delete account, which removes your account and synced data from Firebase.
• By email: send a deletion request to ranjithsumathi22498@gmail.com and we will delete your account and data within 30 days.
• Local data: uninstalling the extension or clearing its storage removes all locally stored data immediately.

• Access and portability — ask us for a copy of the data linked to your account
• Correction — update your email or focus goals from the extension at any time
• Deletion — delete your account and data as described in section 7
• Withdraw consent — sign out, delete your account, or uninstall the extension

Account credentials are handled by Firebase Authentication and transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Your focus goals and settings are stored in Firebase with access rules that restrict data to your own authenticated account.

YouTube Focus Coach's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs and YouTube pages complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Data is used only to provide and improve the extension's stated features — never for advertising, creditworthiness, resale, or training generalized AI models.

YouTube Focus Coach is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly create accounts for or collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Firebase is operated by Google and may process your account data on servers located outside your country. Google provides appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the extension after any change constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
